Growing up in East Los Angeles, I was exposed at an early age to the Latin culture. I fell in love with their family values and their music, especially the traditional Ranchero Mariachi music.
After my two years in the Army during the Vietnam era I had the opportunity to fix up an old sail boat and spent the next five years sailing the coast of Latin America adsorbing even more of their culture and music.
Of all of the Latin American Countries I have visited, I knew I had found my home the minute I landed here. When I discovered that the people here were so receptive to other cultures, helpful by nature, and willing to share their paradise, I knew that this was where I would spend the rest of my life
Five years ago, I approached a couple of friends with the prospect of being a part of this great opportunity and they jumped at the chance to get involved with what would become Tres Regalos. At the time we did not even realize that this quiet little beach town I found 15 years ago would turn into the center on the new Latin America Riviera.

When we had to choose a name for our boutique condo development, I remembered my favorite Mariachi song, Tres Regalos. The song tells the story of a young campesino with very little money who has fallen in love with a girl from his village and desperately seeks her heart in return. He offers her the only thing that he can; La Luna, El Cielo, y El Mar; the moon, the sky and the sea. He wins her love with his romantic gesture and so goes the song.
Thus in addition to our beautiful custom designed properties, I to offer you La Luna, El Cielo, y El Mar. I hope that you will enjoy the experience of owning a little piece of paradise and also fall in love with the wonderful people and culture of this very special country.
So the next time you are at a local restaurant and approached by the local Mariachi musicians at your table, give them a couple of dollars and ask them to play Tres Regalos.
